Application
The H9 Series Fasteners are used to secure air filters to their frames in ASHRAE built-up filter banks and are designed for use with the H9 Series Filter Frames. Fasteners provide a leak free air-tight seal between the filter and frame when a closed cell PVC foam gasket is in place. When used together, the fasteners and gasket tape eliminate air bypass. No matter your combination of filters, there is a fastener available to solve your design challenges.
Construction
Two categories of fasteners can be used with the H9 Series Filter Frames. Fasteners are available in galvanized steel and stainless steel. Galvanized steel fasteners will have the suffix G at the end of each product number and stainless steel fasteners will have the suffix S at the end of each product number.
The Press-Fit Fasteners are affixed to the retaining flange of both the H9 Series Frames and are available in three sub-type configurations. Choose from various sizes of Pre-Filter Clips, P-Clips or Extension Springs to securely mount your filters to the frames. Press-Fit Fasteners “press” onto the retaining flange of the H9 Series Frames and secure filters ranging from 1” to 12” in depth.
The Wire-Type Fasteners are affixed into the raised lances formed on the H9 Series Frame with Lance and Form, and they are available in four sub-type configurations. Choose from the Corner Brackets, Wire Forms, or Wire Form Box Clips to securely mount your 1”, 2” and 4” panel air filters and moisture eliminators to the filter frames. Or, select from the Extension Springs to securely mount air filters deeper than 4” to the frames. Wire-Type Fasteners “lock” into the raised lances formed on the H9L Series Frames and retain filters from 1” to 12” in depth.
